                                          ——记2019-2020学年英文阅读项目启动仪式

On the morning of Nov. 11, the Launching Ceremony of 2019-2020 Reader Rafting Program was kicked off in the No. 2 Campus.

海伦·凯勒曾经说过:“一本书像一艘船,带领我们从狭隘的地方驶向生活无限广阔的海洋。”1111日上午,英文阅读项目在武汉枫叶学校第二校区起航了。



Sponsored by Greater English Project, the Reader Rafting Program has been carried out since last year, aiming to cultivating students’ reading interest and habit and creating a campus-wide reading atmosphere. “Sustained Silent Reading (SSR)” and other reading activities are the focuses of this year.

英文阅读项目由大英语中心于2018-2019学年发起,旨在培养学生的阅读兴趣和习惯,营造校园英文阅读氛围。本学年将重点通过“持续默读”指导学生英文阅读策略,强化学生自主阅读能力。



In the Launching Ceremony, four students shared with us their experience reading books and recommended some interesting books. Afterwards, we introduced the plans and activities of the program for this school year.

启动仪式上,六、七年级学生代表以采访的形式向我们分享了他们通过阅读在学习和成长中的收获,并和同学们推荐了几本有趣的课外读物。随后,我们向大家介绍了本学年阅读项目计划和活动安排,并由六年级和八年级学生代表向大家发起了阅读倡议。



As a conclusion, Ms. Yu, the principal, shared two customs about books in her speech, calling on all of the students to keep on reading regularly.

最后,余校长在讲话中和我们分享了两个关于犹太人重视读书的习俗,号召大家养成持续阅读的习惯,享受阅读,享受生活!



Reading is a process of accumulation and sublimation. Developing a reading habit persistently benefits your lifelong learning and advance.
