老师们，同学们：

　　大家龙年好！
　　伴随着春天的脚步，我们又迎来了一个崭新的学期，我们又迎来了将近两百名新同学，我们为枫叶的发展感到无比的自豪！ 
　　新的学期，我们要认真规划自己，要实现新的突破。
　　本学期一开学，我们就要着手进行下学年的课程选择，希望高一高二的同学们和家长充分沟通，根据自己的发展意向，作出科学合理的判断和选择。
　　三月底将有汉语戏剧节，这是一个彰显才华的平台，你可以展示表演技能，你可以展示改编功底，你也可以选择做一个默默无闻的幕后英雄。重在参与，贵在热情。我们期待着大家展示非凡的精彩。
　　五月份的英语艺术节又是一个群英荟萃的大舞台。我们希望所有同学提前做好准备，不管是选拔赛还是最后的表演赛，都带着积极参与、挑战自我的心态，把英语艺术节当成学习英语技能、训练英语思维、领悟英语文化的一个大好机遇。
　　六月份会举行高三毕业典礼，这将是我们学校硕果累累、激动人心的一场盛宴，更是中西教育结合取得成功的又一个见证。高三的同学们，加油，要争取以优异的成绩为自己的高中生活画上圆满的句号，我们将为你们喝彩！
　　同学们，在认真规划好怎样参加这些大型活动的同时，我们还要在英语课程学习方面实现新的突破，而广泛阅读和主动交流是取得突破、取得成功的两大法宝。
　　热爱运动，强身健体，这是我们生命的精彩内涵。马上就是春暖花开的季节，正是锻炼身体的最佳时候，我们要动起来，跳起来，每天锻炼一小时，健康生活一辈子！
　　老师们，同学们，武汉枫叶校园是属于我们自己的家园，我们每一个人都要爱护她，装扮她；有乱扔垃圾行为的人，请你告别曾经不文雅的举动！
　　“尊重、责任、诚实、勤奋”，希望全校师生深入理解并真正践行武汉枫叶四大价值观，踏踏实实做事，认认真真做人，让责任意识、公德意识、创新意识常驻心中，工作竭尽全力，学习更上层楼！

Speech at the 1st Flag-raising ceremony of Semester 2

Students and teachers:

　　Happy Year of the Dragon!
　　With the arrival of spring, we are embracing a brand-new semester together with nearly two hundred new students. We are proud of Maple Leaf’s development! 
　　We should plan well for the new term to achieve success.
　　At the beginning of this semester, we will start to select courses for the next school year. We hope that students in Grade 10 and Grade 11 will communicate with their parents to make informed decisions based on their educational goals.
　　We will have Chinese Drama Festival at the end of March, where you will be presented with a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate your skills of performing, editing or simply be an unsung hero. Participation and passion are stressed. We are anticipating your inspiring performances.
　　EAF in May is an important school event where students display their outstanding talents. We wish that students will begin preparations now and consider this a golden opportunity to learn English skills, cultivate the English way of thinking and promote an understanding of the English culture. Students, challenge yourself, become actively involved in this year’s English Arts Festival no matter if you are participating in the auditions or final showcase.
　　The Graduation Ceremony will be held in June. It is a grand and exciting event to present the school’s achievements and demonstrate the successful blending of Chinese and Western education. Grade 12 students, go for it. Conclude your high school life with outstanding achievements. We are proud of you!
　　Dear students, when you are thinking about how to seriously join these large-scale events, don’t forget to continually improve our English. Reading and speaking in English are the keys to your success at Maple Leaf.
　　Sports and fitness are the essence of life. Soon we will have the warm blooming season, which will be a perfect time to exercise. An hour of exercise every day will ensure you have a healthy life!
　　Teachers and students, Wuhan Maple Leaf campus is our own home. Every one of us should love her and make her better. Students with the bad habit of random littering, please eliminate this bad habit!
　　It is wished that all students and teachers will deeply understand and apply the four core values of “Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Hard Work” to your life and work. Cultivate your awareness of responsibility, morality and innovation to make accomplishments in your work or studies.
